some ?? about gold battery wire terminals

since my car sits alot i've notice my battery terminals get that flakey corrosive stuff more often.

and i was wondering if gold plated battery wire ends would help the situation? can anyone shed some light on this?

it wouldnt do it as bad but it sill does it, i know the stock terminals are garbage get rid of them if you still have them. any plated (silver, gold etc) will not corrade as much.
