Car looks great. You will love the IRS. I know this isnt ideal... but you should drive it without the diff brace and then drive with it. Rear end feels very stiff. I have both mods you are doing to your IRS, you will love both. Keep the updates comin..

Yes, its on the 98. The install wasnt hard except for the brackets where the quad shock bolted up. 99-04s had 4 holes while the 94-98s only have 2. I had to drop the fuel tank to drill the remaining 4 holes. I also installed 3 stage 8 bolts on each bracket. The drilling and installing of bolts took me all day. You will also have to swap pinion flanges since you have an 04, my 01 was a direct swap.

i have been looking for pics of the brackets installed for the LONGEST time. so you had to drill two holes for the vertical bolts right? through the framerail and into the trunk?

I drilled up into the trunk but if you are able to thread the hole, thatd work too. But yes, they are the vertical ones. My neighbor said he would thread the holes for me but I felt more comfortable going all the way up.
Heres inside the trunk.

who said you cant do it? theres two other people that have done it. only special part you need is a bellhousing for a 5.0 t56 swap

this is sweet. youre going the same direction i was gonna go with my 6 if i hadnt wrecked it about a year ago. 4.3 stage 2 h/c and fi setup (someone local does custom turbo builds, so i may have even gone the turbo route as well, as opposed to the more popular m112 route).
