Some questions about window tinting

First off, where I'm from it's illegal to tint the front driver and passenger side windows so I have a question about tinting the back 3 windows. The most common %'s apparently are 50%, 35%, 20% and 5% and was just wondering what you guys would recommend in terms of looks and visibility at night. Anyone know what % comes on most ford vehicles stock by any chance? Just asking cause I don't really want to go to dark to attract attention from cops... :dontknow:

That was my guess as well, friend of mine has 5% and it seems crazy dark imo, not sure how it is at night tho.

Factory "privacy glass" Is usually 20%, but I've seen it in 35% too.. You shouldn't have too much trouble with the cops with
20% on the rear 3 windows..

Where I live, Texas, our cops say 35%. I went with 20%. It's perfectly OK in my parts. I've got that all around.

our limit is 70%, which is nothing. i had a G6 that came from Pontiac with 70% tint and you couldnt even tell
the guy that had the car b4 me put a layer of 10 on a layer of 35 to make 3.5%, and i wouldnt recommend going that dark. i have to roll down my windows just to see if theres any traffic comming.
but i wouldnt recommend tinting just the back 3 windows and leaving the front ones 100%. looks like hell IMO.

yeah 70% is the legal limit in NY for front and rear side windows, it's a complete joke.

20% is nice you can still see in but it blocks alot of uv rays

5% ftw in looks... 15% ftw in looks and visability 25% ftw in visablility.

anything else and it might as well not be on the car. thats the way i see it at least.
anything in double digits around here will be ok with the popo's
