I'm about to have my torque converter shutter problem fixed in my 95 GT AODE. About 5 or 6 months ago i drained all the fluid and replaced it with Mercon V, this did not solve the problem, i also tried a "shutter fix" that didn't fix it either. I talked to a guy my father knows and trusts, and he said he would take the tranny out and go completely through it to check it, replace the converter, reinstall the tranny and all the fluids for $450,thats including parts, with a Warranty. Does this sound reasonable to you guys?

Sounds real good.

My trans rebuild was $1400 in labor alone. That's not including the rebuild kit from Performance Automatic and a new converter from Hughes Performance.

My tranny guy charges $450 once you bring it to him (already pulled) plus parts.

He is in a wheel chair so he dont pull or reinstall the tranny but I think you have a real sewwt deal there.
