Tell me im crazy, I thought ford used some funny ohm'd speakers in their systems? I'm having a ton of trouble getting my stereo back to how I want it and am thinking of bypassing all the OEM mach bullshit. But i dont have the cash to but new amps, head unit, AND speakers

they have some funny impedences on the woofers but the tweeters are a standard 4 ohm. Most people run into trouble when they replace the 4 ohm 5x7 woofer with a standard 8 ohm full range driver and the factory amps do not like it. I would recomend bypassing the stock amps if you have replaced the deck already which almost everyone has by now.

What you need to do is to wire your deck into the bypass hrns that I point to on page 2 of my cardomain page with a standard ford 70-1770 hrns if you have not already. Now all you need to do, is to take the signal for the new 5 x 7 from the tweeter that is just above it and you have bypassed the factory amp.
