on my way home my speedometer stoped responding, idk if this is connected but my lighter plugs went out aswell. Im a novice at best when it comes to cars and know nothing about electrical issues. anyone know how to fix this, is it a simple process.

Any info is appreciated, Thanks

id check the fuses in the car first thing and see if any are blown.

have you changed the rear gears at all? if so, or if they have been changed, the little speedo gear in the tranny might have worn through the teeth finally.

the aftermarket little plastic speedo gears dont hold up to well from what ive heard. its on the drivers side of the tranny, towards the bottom, its like the only cable going in the tranny. pop the clip off, and the bolt, and pull the gear out and check it out, may just be worn out, they are not to expensive from steeda.

if you have a speedcal, the wires prolly got disconnected, it happened to mine once and they usually use the 12v lighter plug to wire it up. i would check the fuse first if everything stopped working that was connected to the lighter though

Fuse blew, thanks guys just checked it a few minutes ago, im assuming the speedo stoped working because the speedcal is connected to the lighter power. I had a spare 25 fuse and everything worked after that. glad it was an easy fix.
