My 98 GT has a hi-flow catted h-pipe and 2 chamber flows right now. Sounds good, but too "tame" for my liking. Is anyone running Spintech Pro Street mufflers with a catted mid-pipe? I want something louder and more aggressive sounding. I'd like to leave on the catted h-pipe, but I want a more aggressive sounding muffler. Personally I really don't like the sound of SLP and I'm not a huge fan of Magnapacks either. I've listened to a couple of sound clips online of the Pro Streets. I think they sound pretty good from what I can tell by listening to a sound clip but I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with them personally or know anyone that has them. I don't want to make my car sound like a beat up garbage truck with a rusted out exhaust

Do you have them? If so 1's or 2's? I guy I work with has an offroad x pipe and SLP 1's on his 99 GT and IN MY OPINION it sounds like a garbage truck

Ok you have changed my opinion of them a little bit. I guess having a catted mid-pipe with SLP's clean up the tone a little bit. Still curious about the Spintechs though......

Pro streets are some very aggressive sounding pieces.... If you like loud with a good tone, thats your ticket.

I love the sound of Spintechs and Borla Stingers.

I have the Borla XR1's which are nice but with my Catted X its really not very loud unless I get on it.

If I ever change them out it will be for one of those 2.

The 1's sound like a Chevy pickup truck IMO, the 2's aren't as bad.

yeah I've heard Borla's before and they sound pretty good. I like them better than SLP or Magnaflow anyway. I'm really considering just taking a chance with the Spintech's. I have heard they sound kind of like a cross between Flowmaster and MAC?

Is your x-pipe catted? Could you describe the sound characteristics; for example are they really raspy? Do they produce any of that hollow type of sound that Flowmaster or MAC makes?

Right now i have cats on it so i could pass emissions but i will be taking them off to put the straight pipes in. As far as being raspy it is a little but not with the cats on it . The x p-pipe will make it have a rasp in it. I will just have to get a video of the car the exhaust but if you dont want to sound like every other mustang in the world with flows get spintech's
