Hey folks.

Not sure this is the right place for this, but here goes. Recently (like, within the last couple months or so) my front end has gotten really squeaky when I drive over bumps and sometimes when I'm making sharp turns. If I push on the front end I hear the squeaking as well. From the forum searches I've done here it could be balljoints, bushings, bearings, outer tie rod ends, etc... I've been meaning to look into it, but it seems to come and go depending on the weather and so I've procrastinated. Within the last week or so a new development has occurred that I at first attributed to over imagination, but basically when I go from a standstill and then accelerate, or accelerate and break completely I hear, well actually, more like "feel" a clunking sound/vibration. Today I also noticed this when putting the car into reverse. Could these symptoms be tied together or are they more likely separate issues?

Thanks for any help offered.

Okay, I have the squeaking fixed (installed new 03/04 Cobra LCAs), but the clunking is still happening on occasion. Anyone know a good place to get u-joints for cheap? I'll need two, correct? American Muscle has Lakewood Performance U-Joints for $50 bucks a piece, but the description header reads (96-04, 87-95 5.0L Manual). I have an automatic... does the "Manual" in that description refer only to the 87-95s?

Just go to pep boys or local auto parts stores, they are probably 15 dollars a piece and they will most likely be greaseable....no need to spend anything more than that for them.

N/P bud. Also make sure you take your time installing them, I was running out of light the last time I did mine and decided to use a brass punch and a hammer to get them to seat correctly....needless to say I had to go buy new ones and do it all over again

At least they weren't 50 bucks a piece. I'll keep that in mind though.
