squeeking?

I recently had to change out my transmission mount and throwout bearing, but before that i installed my new pulley set. since i got the car on thursday its been squeeking as soon as i turn it on, and the more i drive the more the squeek goes away. problem is as soon as the car gets cold and i start it back up, the squeeking comes back.

i just tried to wd-40 one pulley at a time to see when the squeeking would stop, i think the root of my problem is the idler or the tensioner, has anyone else had this problem before?

What do you think it could be?

Sounds like a loose or worn serpentine belt.

i went ahead and checked the belt, there is no sign of it being worn just yet, no cracks.

i also went ahead and took the idler pulley off to make sure it spins freely, it spins freely but you are able to hear the bearings, idk if thats bad.

another thing is when the car is on, the tensioner is jumping a bit, its moving just a bit, is that normal? or is that the problem?

If you mean it's wagging up and down like an 1/8 of an inch, that's it tensioning. If it's like crazy, then the spring is worn,

ok cool thanks JR, thats what the tensioner is doing just bouncing a bit. i guess thats normal then, im going to say that the culprit may be the idler, or the powdercoat on the steeda pullies i just pout on. the more i drive it the less i hear it, i guess it will work itself out or get louder, then i can identify it properly.

found the problem, i replaced the idler pulley, still squeek'd, then i replaced the tensioner pulley, fired up smooth. that should be the end of my problem.
