My parents owned a gas station a few years ago.

Believe me, it all comes from the same closest refinery. Different sub contractors transport it. And there is little difference between name brand gasoline and not besides the brand specific detergents in it.

Very much like 90 percent of the motor oils out there. A company buys base stock, adds its detergents, bottles and labels it differently. Same base oil in everything.

The best thing you can do to avoid bad gas is to go to a station with very high volume that is newer. Old stations can have steel tanks, and they like to rust. Newer ones are poly.

Cheapest or whatevers convienent. If I'm filling up right after going to walmart I'll get a giftcard to save some cash. I never notice a difference.

does anyone else find it funny that almost every gas station now has fuel with 10% ethanol added to keep the price of gas lower but yet it's still crazy high? It's like 3.49 a gallon here in new mexico right now. But in the next town over i found a station with pretty good prices and absolutely 0% ethanol content. Look forward to trying it out!

where???

pretty sure that's not why ethanol is added to gasoline, but rather to improve exhaust emissions.
