hey guys, so i want to put up my next 2 "phases" of what im gonna do with my baby racecar.

first off im putting this stuff up because i want you guys to know what i have planned and second because i want to put it in "writing" so that i can hold myself accountable as well as all you guys.

so first things first:

Phase One: Ignition/Cooling/Prep/Beginning Rear End

MSD coil packs
FRPP 9mm spark plug wires
cheap set of sve control arms
cobra style rear sway bar
GT500 hood vent
hood lift kit
T1 race spoiler for prep/mold (carbon fiber) project start (this will be another project on its own)

expected $ spent: ~$1200 (not includint T1 project, but including purchase of spoiler)

Phase Two: Rear End Build

FRPP 31 spline trac-lok
B&M diff cover
Alloy USA 31 spline axels

maybe buying another FRPP gear kit with 355s if i cant find a rear end with them already (probably just gonna get them anyways)
FRPP aluminum driveshaft

expected $ spent: ~$1300 (price is with purchase of new gear kit, but not including install which is probably another 500 for whole rear end)

i will be staying away from any good/expensive MM/Steeda/J&M parts for the rear end because it will be wasted anyways in the long run with the GR40 system.

underlined items i have a special hook ups on, so the price i will be spending for those is actually less

OR!!!!...

in the event of me finding a 03/04 irs phase 2 will still be roughly the same price (900-1500 for irs) but then that means a FTB makeover is in the works for the irs so it will be closer to say $2000.

but hey, racecar

at the beginning of this year i got a vinyl wrap sample of arlon matte blue metallic. some of you may know this color from ernie also known as napalm_inc on ig who used this on his new edge for a little while. i wanted to get the whole car wrapped but when the guys i went to told me how much it was gonna cost i was like yeah fvck no. no way im paying 2500+ to do that when i can buy a new car for that and i can also wrap myself since i have experience doing it. fast-forward to now i still have that sample and wanted to find something to put it on so i went and put it on the door jam thingy and im pretty sure im gonna buy a small roll to completely do them. here are a few pictures of it

dont mind my envelope full of receipts

Are going with the track spec vents? or the OEM gt500 vent? does the GR40 rear kit come with lower control arms?

No actually i didnt lol. But they help soooo much. They do have lots of options and imo will do a lot better than then oem. Even ReplicaR was looking at them at the last event we went to. Just food for thought. PS a lot of autocrossers and road racers have track spec

I dont really like the color matched interior pieces. It just looks like youre trying too hard to force the colors inside.

Just personal opinion. That being said, its your car and if you love it, then I love it.
