    Is the gasket completely necassary? The instructions say to use a heat resistant silicone. Anybody know of a good write up for this? Thanks guys.

    i dont think the gasket is completly necassary...

    RTV should work just fine

    Same here,black rtv is all I've ever used....just don't go crazy with the amount. A little bead goes a long way.

    i ended up using rtv. installed in under a half hour. thanks for all the help guys. O0
