Steering Wheel mod..

Hi I was wondering .... Im sure there is a post on this already but just wanted to make this a quick one..

03-04 cobra steering wheels are they the same thickness as the stock Sn95 Gt steering wheel or are they thicker... I have a new in the box FR-500 steering wheel but just found out that they are not aval. anymore so I was going to look for another one and use it and keep the other new.. I have found some use 03 cobra wheels and would like to know.... Can someone help me with this....

I'm pretty sure the 03 Cobra wheels are just the normal leather wrapped steering wheel, the 10th anniversary wheel being a bit different. Install the FR500, they are sweet! What's the point of keeping it new?

Put the FR500 on and enjoy it. I've had mine on for 7-8 years and it shows basically no wear, unlike how the stock wheels aged horribly.

I am almost certain that the 03 wheel is thicker, the 10th even nicer and has the thumb bumps.

I wish they still made new stock looking wheels. Idk what to get now.

how do u perserve the steering wheel.. As my stang is a daily driver.. hehe no cold weather where I am.. okay well I will pick up the 03 wheel just to have as back up.. I know I read somwhere were it was fatter then the rest.
