Steering wheels

So I was kinda wondering as I was driving down the road today, is there a stock replacement mustang steering wheel with a thicker rim? I feel like the 99-04 wheel looks thicker but im not sure? I have a 95 GT by the way

Georgia331... This is probably your best bet now. They stopped making the FR500 wheel from FRPP and if you come across one it'll be $7,850,743.99 ...

fr500 wheels like he said are $400 if you find a cheap one. That option above will also give you the choice of what materials/threads are used as well as use better materials then the stock wheels could have ever considered using.

That wheel looks pretty good actually. I might look into getting that one, if I don't ill end up going OMP or MOMO since this will be for a mostly track car. But I kinda like the stock look better. Thanks Guys!

damn i shoulda sold mine for a lot more then when I swapped to my OMP wheel. Sold mine for $150 about a month ago :shrug:

LOL That has been on there for ever. I am sure they like to mess with people or something an FR500 for that price lol...

Next thing you will dig up is the GUY on svt that was going to have them get the old stuff out to start remaking them for $400 each. He got a bunch of people excited, made some phone calls and from what I heard had them tell him that IF they were too do it again it would take alot more people committed to it then he had and they wanted $700each or something stupid. Realistically ford was just selling the standard stock wheels for $450 each recently and that was NOT the FR500.

i picked up a nice cobra wheel for 100 shipped . it was alot thicker than my gt wheel was .

The 03 cobra wheels were thicker from the factory.. and usually can be found on Ebay or CL.. I still have my new unused FR 500 wheel.. just wished I would have kept the box and not used it to mail things to chevy friend... I think Im just going to look for cobra one and keep the fr500 in a display case..
