ok the peice that goes onto the tie rod end then into the steering rack is bent......do is that replaceable or do i need a new steering rack?

the piece that you are talking about is the inner tie rod. it can be replaced by itself, but its probably more of a hassle to do that than to just replace the entire rack. when mine got bent, i went to a local rebuild shop and picked up a rebuilt one for $120+core.

how the hell do you bend that thing???????? if you have to replace then get a 03/04 cobra one if its the same which i think it is... 03/04 cobra stuff is always better lol.

true, it is better....but also about 2x's as much. and how he bent it i dunno, but for me, i picked a fight with a guardrail and needless to say, it won. :nonono:
