Djk, Do people buy head units at walmart? Lol
And yeah I agree with you F*** best buy

Yes they do but they sell some cheap brands like dual and jensen. And there isn't any staff to answer any questions all they know how to do is open the glass case that the decks are in. I hope nobody on here works at wally world.

I work at Best Buy.....

I was waiting for this....
I thought I was the only one that didn't shop there. I swore that I would quit over 10 yrs ago and have only had to go in with friends a couple of times since.

Fair enough. I agree. Thats why I put in my two weeks. But they begged me to stay and now I only work 1 day a week in the bay. I keep my discount for me and well others... :)

canary nothing personal It's just the company. It's the fact that they need to educate some employees of the products instead of just putting a best buy shirt on them.

You should be a manager over there. I think we need that train of thought personally. I try to edumacate all my guys but the reality is since Im not a Sup/Manager its a pointless act for me. I was the only Full Time computer guy in the store.... Do you have any idea how stupid that is.. Oh and with NO supervisor for 6 months on top of it. I Finally had it and was Like..... FUCKA YOU DOLFEEEEN!

Why hate Alpine? Just one bad experience? Please share...
well when i got my car it had an alpine head unit and it sounded terrible and had no adjustability, just bass and treble, same with the flip out my dad had. i have never been blown away by the subs that i have heard (never owned any myself though) i guess i shoundnt say hate, i just dont really like anything they make that i have heard.

Its all good man. Some people dislike products because of personal experiences... I have almost a full Alpine system and I can guarantee there is more crap to adjust than you would want to.

I love their decks, they are just about as close to bullit proof as you can get. I worked at a number of shops and always had less returns with them then any of them. As for the adjustability I am about to take advantage of the imprint technology to tune it when I get some of my gear back on the 25th(day after my B-day).

As for BBY like I said I just will not support a store that works its employees the way it does and you might be the same way when you get fed up with it an finally leave. As he said the education there just doesn't happen and you are just as likely to have the computer guy answer your question as you would the car audio guy. they tried to put me in computers when I started and I didn't know anything about them other then I hate when they do no work...

I say they train people in the department that the are interested in. That way they want to learn what RMS means and ohm's.

are they still downsizing the car audio are canary? At one point I heard they were going to swap some of the car audio sections into musical areas with instruments and crap like that?

the one here in my town is rarely staffed on the rare occasion that my friends drag me into one.

Honestly the problem is that they dont hire good people. The honest to god truth is the job is extremely underpaying. People dont want to go through all the extra work if the pay isnt there.
