Save a little more and go supercharged is the best way to get your moneys worth

Other option is intake/exhaust/gears/wheels

Not really wanting to supercharge it.

bolt-ons is a long road to walk...

i have a 1996 GT with FULL bolt ons... the exceptions are:
PI Intake manifold,
Long tube headers (right now i have FRPP shorties,)
and a new throttle body+plenum combo.

i have ALL the other bolt ons. and im only making 194 RWHP..... . . a vortec = $4,000.00, full bolt ons = $4,000.00, power difference = 100+- with the blower.... . . . its foolish to go for a budget-build and avoid a blower. (at least with our cars anyways... maybe the 302s have it a little easier. lol)

Is it a stick or auto? if its a stick, you could get a upgraded tranny, would make the car a blast to drive, and if later on you want to make more power, you wont have to worry about the trans giving out.

OR you can get a 5.0 and put that money in it and come out a lil better!
:eek:ccasion14: seriously though, a tune would be a great place to start, maybe some gears and some suspension work would probaly be a great way to go, you'll probaly even have a little left over to pick up a nice used midpipe and exhuast, so it'll even sound good!

What do you want with the car?

Do you want it to handle or be fast in a straight line? :dontknow:

I would say to look for a used vortech kit, pi intake, and maybe some 3.73 gears.....
