My 145K motor burns a quart a week and detonates anywhere past 75% throttle. :grin:


In reality though, he just takes good care of the engine and the car, and maintains it properly. I'm not actually that surprised by how well it runs. People overcomplicate everything these days.

Guys have run 11's on "stock" heads in Factory Stock, but that doesn't mean E7s are worth the iron they're cast in.

Factory stock guys also run fully pro ported E7/GT40/GT40P heads. Nothing that could even compare to a local machine shop port.

I agree with Paul hands down, unless THAT is the head you can get, E7's are worthless.
