Strut tower brace question

If I take my strut tower brace off, for clearance issues, am I gonna notice a difference? What's it really there for anyway, and how come they didn't need it in the new edges?

I never noticed a differerence. There is a bbk in my local craigslist I hope is available when I get the cash for it but otherwise I would not go out of your way for it.

You're not going to notice anything on the street. Basically it's an added support so the frame doesn't warp over time from hard cornering. Really they don't make much of a difference at all...

New edges use them and I'll certain be running one when I finish up my suspension but it's an extremely low priority as it just finishes it off honestly.

According to ford, it was installed on the cars to reduce the cowl vibrations. Once the mod motor made it into the cars, the k-member was made stiffer, so that on it's own kinda helped with the issue. This meant that Ford could take the part off, and save some money, which they did.

On performance minded cars, it's supposed to keep the front end stiffer, so suspension can work better.

when mine was off the car felt looser so I reinstalled it.

I have mine in. I actually met a fellow mustanger and his car frame was bent from not running one, but his suspension set up was pretty stiff plus he drove through this area with not very good roads to work daily which basically killed the car.
