So yeah, being the hard headed mustang junky that I am I decided today that im gonna drive the mustang to work.

I was already having problems with the A/C compressor making noise and today it decided to stick the middle finger at me.

Dramatization > :thefinger:

I went to go start the car, it started right up and then SQUUUEEEEEELLLL :thefinger: and the car shut off :violent1:

Sprayed a little wd40 with hopes that maybe it'll help and sure enough the car held idle! yay....!! right? Wrong! All the accesories were turning except the A/C compressor and SNAP goes the belt!

So now my car is parked at my brother's father in-laws house (closest and safest place i can take it) until my brother tows it to the shop.

Edit: The point of this thread was mostly to rant :BangHead: If you guys have any "getting stuck" stories please share!

Drove down to see some friends in Iowa City the other day and the serpentine belt snapped on me.. turns out my dad replaced the belt when i was at school a month before... Got to tinkering with it, and the A/C compressor wouldn't turn. Took it into the shop the next day $780 bucks for a new compressor, a/c recharge, and labor for them to fix the check engine light that they caused when they broke a cable getting to the a/c comp

yea... and see, God's a good practicle jokester... He does little things... like a tack on your chair... he could have easily had a mouse build a nest in your intake track behind your air filter... but instead, two snapped $15.00 belts is a good way to go. :p

My 92 did the same thing. Want to talk about a bad sound when your just driving down the road and suddenly the car just shuts off while in gear (5 spd). It was during lunch when I worked at the junkyard. I wasn't going to leave the car in the parking lot because of where it was at. They didn't understand to well why I called them and told them I was broke down but wouldn't leave lol.

mine did that as well.... turns out the previous owner used crappy piggy-back pullies. long story short: previous owner stripped my cranshaft threads, helicoiled my crank, locktighted the bolt, and now it ticks :) lol. (time for N2O! :-D)
