New cable went in yesterday, I'll make sure all adjustments are still tight enough today, but loose enough at the same time... make sense? ok, anyways, the old cable snapped where the threaded rod connects to the clutch fork, the cable pulled out from inside there... maybe it was adjusted to tight?
Got the new one all back in, and ready, went to snap the C clip on(that hold the plastic piece in the tranny) the ****** snapped in 2... went to 2 parts stores that said they had it, they didn't (liars) then i went to Freedom Ford, who showed it in stock, but couldn't find it, so i went to Kimnach, who showed 9, they only found one(lucky me) the stupid thing was $1.39, and it cost me $10 in gas just to get the damn thing... car's driving now, brought it into work this morning, was easy on her, cause it makes me nervous. I think it's time to put in an auto with a stall and reverse manual valve body. LOL

It's not that hard... you need a pair of pliers and a flashlight... people say take your seat off, but my fat ass laid the seat completely flat, laid on my back and slid under the dash. :hammer:

You guys that ar snapping these cables that fast are doing something wrong. I've NEVER broken my UPR or a Stocker nor has any cable I put in ever snapped. Make sure you're routing these things right and using the right hook on the quadrant. If you're using the third one, you're wrong.

I routed mine the same way both times, which is the same sa my buddies Cobra, and he's never changed a cable (not saying somebody before him didn't) they're all the same, and i'm using the middle hook on my UPR.

I have the same problem. I've snapped two Ford Racing clutch cables in one year. I think it might be partially due to the extreme stiffness of my Ram clutch...
