Stupid broken vaccum lines?

I know this question has been asked about a million times, but i cant seem to find a thread with a streight up answer?. the question is can i run a vaccum line from the upper intake manifold to the egr valve... Would that operate right? o does it have to be hooked up to the Valves in the passanger fender?

You need a Chilton's or a Haynes manual for this car. Tons of info there. $15 - $20

not tons of info but will help alot what has tons of info is the red mustang book that comes from ford i got one and its like 1500 pages

oh so you guys know what book im talking about. havent seen anybody else with it. sorry guys i dont even know where to get it got mine from a friend maybe ford racing.
