stupid JLT CAI - need new CAI!

ok guys, im fed up with this gay*** JLT intake i bought off of a member here.

i received the intake SPLIT IN HALF. i dont know why but it was just a clean split, like someone cut it down the middle. idk if thats what happened or not but im done with this stupid intake. the couplings i bought from Lowes just aren't getting the job done, they have probably slipped off about 15 times (literally). i was just driving my car in the parking lot and the car just died because it slipped off..

so, im in the new market for a NEW, not used, cold air intake.

idk if i want to stick with JLT or not. so what are some other good brands? what is the best if anyone knows....

I have the UPR Bigmouth. It's 3.5" instead of JLT's 4" but I love mine. No problems, fit like a glove too :thumb:

and idc if its really even a kit. i dont mind buying an intake pipe and a filter seperately.. id rather do it together but just saying.

is the C&L pipes any good?

why not get rid of the coupler and fix it. Go to advance auto or something similar and buy plastic weld epoxy. I made an intake out of PVC pipe for my old neon.. for the hell of it I smashed the prototype on the ground and I could not break the welded part. 5 bux for epoxy or 150+ for intake.....


or sell it to me, and Ill fix it.

thanks dave man.. ill do that. ill just repaint it when i do it. i need a good way to connect the MAF though. the end of the JLT (the fenderwell side) has a coupling on it which goes over the end of the MAF. that part has fallen off once and i pray it doesn't do it again because i will be stranded if im not at home.

you know of a way i could rig that side up?
