Highway patrol: i got you on radar going 86.
me: with all due respect, im pretty damn sure my V6 cant even hit 86.

ok it didnt go that way, but i wanted to say it.

but this is what was said, true story

he said,
"at such a young age, im surprised you have never received a speeding ticket in this shiny sports car of your's"

i promptly replied,

"well officer, my parents raised me correctly and taught me responsibilty, plus this V6 is slower than that Kia that just passed us."

he let me go

I've been pulled over a few times, once for doing 15 over, once for not using a blinker, running a redlight(accident), and a couple of others. Thank goodness they were car guys and just asked questions, then let me off. Oh the power of the Stang. I had a fella tell me at Napa I had a horrible idle issue when I first cammed my car ha. Told him it was a cam and he said his didnt do that. I think he was driving a beat up ranger.

Actually it's funny that you say that because I've told some people that i swapped a 4 banger in for better gas mileage, they weren't foolish enough to believe me though =[

This question might be adding to the thread of stupid questions, but... You have functional side scoops? How did you do that? This would be to cool the rear brakes correct?

As far as I know 94/95 had functional side scoops, standard. My 95 V6 had. But my 98 GT doesn't have functional scoops so Ford must have decided to close them up.

Wow, interesting. I didn't know that. It might be pointless, but I wonder if there's a way to do a swap onto the later models. Gonna have to start investigating.

They aren't really functional, they let air through but they don't help to cool the brakes or do anything for that matter.
