My idle was surging so I did a tune up. That didnt fix it so I replaced the IAC after talking with some mechanics. That fixed most of the problem. It only has a slight surge now that I can deal with for right now. I bought a pcv valve the other day since I forgot to replace it when I did the tune up. I looked everywhere on the car and also looked in my haynes book but couldnt locate where the pcv valve is. I know it is at the back of the intake. Is it hidden under the intake? Does anyone have a picture of where it is located? Next question when I turn my steering wheel at idle the car will cut off. I was looking at parts while i was at a Carquest (I work there part time) and found a power steering idle control switch. I figured hey maybe that is my problem so I bought it. Well, now I can not figure out where that goes. I looked in the book and it doesnt say anything about it. Any ideas on where it could be? Does anyone think it will fix my problem? Ok, last question. I also bought a crankcase breather (i think that is what it is called). Where does that go? I have read about it but can't find it. I haven't had a lot of time to look for any of this stuff (mainly cuz its freezing outside and i dont have a garage). I would appreciate any help.

The PCV is located at the very back of the lower intake manifold in the center. You can see it installed at the very top of this picture:

Our cars do not have a power steering idle control switch. If your PCV is functioning as intended, and you still have the tube running from your oil fill neck to the air inlet is installed, you don't need any more breathers unless you have significant mods.

You can try to up your idle RPM a bit if you're having trouble with it stalling, but unless it's already set too low, I suspect something else is wrong.

Thanks for the picture. I am going to have to look at it tomorrow when i hopefully will have more light. I found out that it is called a power steering pressure switch. Most of the time on the high pressure line near the oil pan. Still dont know if I have one or not. Can't see down there

The 94-95 5.0 doesn't have one.

Those are stock fox. I prep them, powdercoat them, and sell them. That particular set is coated gunmetal gray.

Alright thanks, any ideas as to what is causing my car to die when I turn the wheel at idle? I got a new IAC, have checked my tps, have cleaned my maf, done a tune up except for the pcv valve.

What do you have done to the car, as far as intake, throttle body, and MAF? What does it try to idle at? You could also try spraying brakekleen around all the intake gaskets and see if the idle changes. If it does, the gasket is leaking. I looked in alldata for a power steering idle control switch and couldn't find anything either. What does it look like?

The car is totally stock. Before I replaced the IAC it would fluctuate between 500 and 800 rpms at idle. Now that I have replaced it it stays around 650 or so. Barely fluctuates any. Exhaust sounds nice and smooth at idle now as well and it idles itself up when the fan kicks on which it wouldnt do before. Now the only time it acts up is when I turn the wheel to the left at idle. It dies when I do that. To the right it barely affects the idle.

I was wrong with the name of the part. It is a power steering pressure switch. I will have to take a picture of it tomorrow and post it.

I was told to try propane around all the intake area. A little scared to do that though. Don't want anything to suddenly catch fire or explode.
