been kickin around the idea of painting my style bar the same color as the car.

not even sure what these things are made from, so i hope it's a prepable surface for paint, lol. may be getting the speedster covers soon and those painted with the style bar may look pretty sick....thoughts??

I personally always liked the black (actually it may sound stupid but thats one of the only reasons I wanted a vert) but IDK.. its all preference I guess

Id have to see it first

i think it could be neat. i've never seen someone get their light bar painted before. but with your car you've got a metalish kinda look. i think the black up top there would be a nice contrast and kinda blend the interior and exterior a little better.

I'm not sure how you could paint it...its made of vinyl isn't it? My old one was...maybe if you stripped the vinyl and the padding? Then its probably just going to look like a metal roll bar as opposed to a styling bar.

I say keep it black.

Yup vinyl on the outside hard styrofoam under it. The actual bar is only 1 1/4" tubing, not even close to rollbar size. I dont think you even want to mess with it. Tony I keep seeing threads about wheels, body mods ect, from you...personally The car is mint in that department and needs nothing....what it does need is some Hp improvement, engine bay work, bigger brakes, better suspension, ect..Youve already concurred the looks department, now bring the rest of the car to the level you have the body and youd have one bad @ss ride.

^he has.

opal my decision to change wheels is mainly performance related. i already have different springs (just gotta put 'em in). i already have awesome adj. shocks and moogs ball joints/tie rods, steeda sways, 373 gears, catless x pipe, flowmasters, acufab TB/plenum/spacer...etc. and i am doing a vortech SC this winter.

i havent completely ignored the performance, and i've already posted threads about pi heads, superchargers..etc. already have my mind made up in that area, lol. just think about other ideas on the exterior sometimes.

Worst idea ever. He already has everything painted body color including his mirrors. To change them all to gloss black would be a stupid move. Plus how often is the car seen with the top up? I have never put my top up at a show no matter how cold it was. It's part of owning a vert, you need to show it top down.

Leave it alone, the bar already matches the interior.
