yes im mobile but im not like anyone youve ever seen. ive got a 100 gallon tank, 2600 psi (cold) pressure washer, 5500 watt generator, etc., i hand wash and chamois dry. the pressure washer moves more water for rinsing and assist me when cleaning wheel wells and engines.

there's a pic of my rig attched to this post

it was a pretty good idea... i found it in a book called "1001 shoestring start up businesses" or something like that. i started out with a water hose, buckets, sponges, a vacuum and some misc products in the back of my Isuzu Rodeo. i did everything by hand back then... power tools RULE!!!

I just realized, I have access to a huge customer database of car owners....I can sort it by collateral and location (get exactly the demographics I want...) I think it's time to start my mobile lube company...

do you mind me asking how much your rig costs? what do you typically charge for your services?

my rig put together was about $5000, throw in buffers and misc goodies and it probably rounded out to $6000. with a lube service though youre going to need to check with your state and local agencies about transporting and disposing of used oil, etc. i pay $55 a year for a Storm Water Quality number and have to put down an absorbent sock/boot to capture my chemicals. do some research before you go mobile, with oil you definitely dont want to get caught with your pants down (it's a $5000 fine if i get caught without my SWQ#)!!
