supercharged which one should i get?

why do people fear tapping the oil pan? I have had my vortech for 3 years now and never a problem. My cousin has a d1sc on his bullitt and just had to send it to them for a faulty seal...

I would say a turbo kit and if you are not a turbo fan the pro charger kit with the larger compressor. There are turbo kits out there now that range from cheap to overpriced but still less than a vortech or pro charger kit once it is all said and done, no to mention the compressor won't lock up and start to make noise after 20-30k miles.

I love my vortech, I have an SQ-trim before they went self-contained. tapping the pan is a breeze with the engine bracket removed. I'd check out AFM for supercharger kits they have sales every now and then, that's where I bought mine and it came with a power pipe and PMS but without injectors for $3500 shipped, also customer service is good.

that statement, well i had about 3 different cars and trucks with vortechs on them back in the late 90's to around 2005 and everyone of them the blower needed to be rebuilt, granted all the the systems were used or either on the car when it was bought so that might have been what contributed too it. Since i have had 4 different turbo cars and truck with and built about 15 or so with turbo's on only had bearing failer on one and it was a turbonetics kit that was covered under their 2 year warranty. I know centrifugal blowers are made better now than then but I still shy away from then unless it is a really good deal. I have also installed about 6 or 7 vortech and porcharger kits over the last few years and haven't seen any problems with them that i know of.
