I have one. You're going to need to change the oil in the unit at some point because it's self contained. I recommend changing it right away just so you know where you're at. Then change it every 5k or so. The guy I bought the car from knew nothing about the SC. It showed when I sucked the nastiest looking fluid out of there. Thankfully, the motor only had 5k on it at that time and there were no metal shavings in there. The FRPP/SVO SC uses straight antifreeze as a lubricant believe it or not. Just make sure that it isn't the pre-mixed 50/50 with water already mixed in or you'll have problems. I decided to call the FRPP Tech Line just to make sure it was antifreeze...it's true. You're going to need to remove the alternator to get to the drain/fill plug and something to siphon the old fluid out of there. I "borrowed" a 100cc syringe from work and used some clear hose from my aquarium aerator to suck it out. Suck out the old stuff and fill it up with new stuff until it bearly runs out. Throw it back together and then you're good to go. Other than that, just keep your throttle body clean and make sure that your PCV system isn't throwing a bunch of oil into your intake. There are very few moving parts, so there isn't really all that muc to worry about. Oh yeah, when you remove the serpentine belt, the SC pulley shaft has a little play in it from front to back. It's self aligning and this is completely normal. Any other play in it isn't normal. How many PSI are you running by the way?
