hey Guys,

Just thought id give you an update on my setup.
I got it tuned @9psi with a 3.2 pulley. Pulley was purchused from pulley boys and they make ALL sorts of sizes for anyone with the blower. So thats something i found out.

Anyway she made 290rwhp and 336rwtq threw an auto and all stock long block.
Last weekend she ran a 13.2 at the track with 3.08 gears and i think i can do a little better. Im working on 12's.

If anyone ever buys one of these blowers and needs brackets. I'll sell you the templetes for the brackets i have. If you dont have the tools to make them il sell you the brackets themselves.

Meth is on the list still, kind of ran low on money and needed it tuned. Gears are also on the list. Pi cams may be coming up soon.

You made identical torque numbers as I did, and about 30 less horsepower. I'm on 7 psi to your 9, but I have PI cams, which would certainly increase the power up top. It would seem that our numbers are right on par with each other. My best track time is 13.1 @ 105, but that was in bad weather and a lazy shifting transmission. Good weather plus the J-mod should get me well into the 12s.

PI cams can be had for cheap. I got mine for $40 shipped, and I've seen em go for cheaper than that. You'd gain quite a bit of power, but it would probably require a tune afterwards.

My power curve is very similar to his, cept it doesn't fall off quite as much up top, thanks to the PI cams. You can see it in my build thread that I just posted.

I'm guessing what you think is "odd" is that the SVO blower made more power at the same boost level all the way through the rpm range than the powerdyne. Lots of people like to put down this little blower, but it really seems to make power, or at least as much as any other blower out there. LOTS of people are in the low 300 rwhp range with nothing more than bolt ons and PI cams with this blower on NPI heads. I'm at 325; sharkbait is at 290 with NPI cams, and we're both through a power-robbing automatic. I'd be at or near 350 if I had a 5-speed, and that's only at 7 psi. Heck, PI 5-speed GTs with Kenne Bells normally make 400 +/- at 9-10 psi; I'm really not that far off with this blower, especially considering the head differences.

Bottom line: this is a good little budget blower that will make your car a lot more fun to drive. It's not a BIG power maker, but it'll compete with any of the other entry level blowers out there. Not to mention the fact that this blower is the ONLY way to put a positive displacement supercharger on NPI heads. (which equals FUN :D)

no what i find odd is the fact that both blowers have identical power and torque curves with one being a centri blower and the other being PD. i'll leave it at that, i just give no credibility to dyno sheets posted online, thats all....

Well i must say powerdynes arnt known for there hi HP numbers.

You can disbelieve all you want. But that just a picture of my paper dyno sheet. Not a scanned copy.

Sneaky glad to see our numbers match up. My next goal is some SVO heads and some PD blower cams.
Then we shall see whats up.
