Sweet cars. It's a very different "flavor" from the GT. At 205 HP stock vs the GT's 210 stock in 85 you're not far off max power but you feel it much more in the higher RPM's- the 2.3 can be thought of as half a 5.0 and though it's geared well it won't move like a V8 off the line. They're said to be great handlers... less weight on the nose = more neutral handling

That biplane wing on the back is neat too.

Buddy of mine bought one in mint condition in chicago with a blown motor for $1,500. He then called Eagle and had a forged assembly sent to him and Precision Turbo got him a Greddy T-4 hybrid (off a john deere) we mounted it all up and it has 456hp and runs 9.90's for $3800 total investment!!!

I say go for it.

svo's are definately a unique mustang in its own. eventually a colectors item if maintained well. and they can be badass street
cars, like stated above, for not so much cash.

For that price i would jump on it because you can turn it around and sell it for some profit if you don't like it.

If I had the room, and could part with the money, especially at that price, I would love to get one of those cars. Destined to be a collector's item with only right about 9,000 having been built, and the later ones have more power. If it has the original rims I would say don't wait. Those are hard to find.

I drove one, lots of fun as the turbo spools up.

Hello,

The SVO was in advance for the time, Ford built those car between 84 to 86, originaly the car got 175 H.P., the comp prep edition develop 205 H.P., it was a great Mustang for driver, the car was light, got 4 discs brakes and 16 inch wheels, it can be not easy to find all the parts but theres site for SVO owners:

At this price it's a good choice if your able to work on the car be yourself.

I'd buy that! With a bigger turbo and some work those things are reliable 350-400rwhp 4bangers....and you can go race in the 4 banger class at import drags.
