switched trunks

ok so i switched trucks with a guy who had a 6 cylinder no button to release trunk. Now my trunk wont pop open did i have to switch th ewiring harness also. And one more thing this is the 3rd trunk deck i had on the car and the trunk never fit perfect but never this bad.

Now my trunk is all wet but never had that problem before. is there a way to adjust the trunk?

The button is electrical... if you dont have the wiring harness.. how would it pop open?? I just put one on as well... hard to adjust but it is adjustable. Just tweak it a little bit at a time. Try to adjust it with the struts not installed, might be easier.

Do you still have your old (popping) trunklid? If so, you will need to unbolt the black latch assembly from the middle on the inside
of your old trunk (3 8mm bolts). Then, undo all the electrical connections, and feed the harness through the trunks "cavities",
then reverse removal onto your new wingless trunk. I did the exact same swap literally 3 days ago.
