I agree I would stick with what you are useing now just make
sure you use a good quality oil filter like Motorcraft and always
change your oil on time.
I used Mobil 1 10w30 with a Motorcraft oil filter and never had any leaks
from useing synthetic motor oil plus my engine ran great with Mobil 1.
Justin where did you get a leak/s from? Just wondering?

ive pretty much always used full synthetic since i bought my car. only difference is that i went from 10-30W to 5-20W now. havent had any burning oil issues or anything like that. i recomend you using the 5-20 synthetic, and if it burns oil, switch over to 10-30 synthetic. as for the filters, ive always liked the Mobil 1 and Motorcraft one, i have a friend who says that K&N is really good too tho.

Capacity is 6 quarts, K&N filter is sweet, since it has that nut on it to make it easy to take off. Synthetic oil is nice as well, although the high mileage oils have additives in the that swell seals, intending to stop leaks, which they do, but lead to ultimate failure sooner than would have happened otherwise.

bobistheoilguy.com or something like that has more info than you'll ever want to know about oil

Yep, the capacity is six quarts.
I also love the K/N oil filters too.
They filter the contaminates in the oil very well.
I like the one inch nut on the end of the filter in makes removal alot easier.
The burst strength of the case is very strong and the high flow ability is good.
The only oil filter I would avoid would be the Fram oil filters they are complete crap. :nonono:

if i let my car drain for about 30 minutes or longer, it takes 7 qts to fill up. if i just take the plug off and let it drain for a min or two, it takes about 6 qts to fill up.

on a side note.......how many of you guys have that oil cooler adapter from ford?

I run 5w-30 Mobil 1 & a Motorcraft filter(or WIX). With todays tight engine tolerances, I would not recommend using a 10w-30 as
it could cause a slightly rough idle due to the tolerances within the valve lash adjusters (or lifters to some) as well as slightly
less fuel mileage. I stay away from 5W-20 weights because the shear strength is not as high as a 5W-30. The 5W-20 will get
you a mile or two more a gallon but the 5W-30 still offers a little more protection. Not worth it.

With an average of 27.5 mpg, I'm stayin' where I'm at. GT
