if so then it's definitely your tob. it might be able to be adjusted with the clutch cable, i'm not positive

Nooo, nothing like that. It sounds like taking a piece of flat metal and sliding it around on another piece of flat metal.

I think it IS the throwout bearing, it's coming from around the bellhousing area, i'm just not sure how to fix it... I don't know whether to make the cable longer or shorter.

Did you use the TOB that came with the spec kit? I did the same..didnt have any problems though..

I did. I think I might try loosening the clutch cable, I think the throwout bearing is riding on the clutch "splines" while the clutch is let off.

More problems guys! I tried adjusting the cable looser and drove it about 100ft. It's smoking now arggg.. and it's still making the noise.

Try tightening it instead of loosening it? did you grease the TOB and fork when you put it all in?

I greased everything I was supposed to, not a whole lot of grease so it wouldn't get in the clutch, but I greased it. I don't see how tightening it would help either, that would press it harder.

idk tightening it was a shot in the dark because you said loosening it made it smoke

Well, it might have smoked before I loosened it, I just didn't drive it all before that.

Wait wait wait..what is smoking? My car smoked for a few hours because of all the grease and shit on the exhaust..
