my friend got a 97 gt it had a b&m ripper alright in it. i drove it and liked it alright but didnt really like were the shifter is setup and he didnt either. what do you all think about them? u think he should get a pro 5.0 or steeda?

big fan of the steeda tri ax myself had it it 2 mustangs shifts are nice and firm. handle can be moved up or down for adjustment and it has shift stops which are nice. also had a pro5.0 was nice had it in a fox no complaints really. i say tell him to look at the steeda, pro5.0, or mgw and he should be happy with either one.

I have the Steeda Tri-Ax. Bought it used for $70 off a guy who swapped out to the MGW when they first hit the market. I have absolutely no complaints about the shifter.

I drove the car of that had the MGW swapped in as well. Do I like it a little better than the Steeda? Yes, but not enough to spend the money to buy one new since there were no used ones on the market back then. If you're buying a new one, go ahead and buy the MGW though. I'm pretty sure they're the same price.

Yeah same price but mgw is far better IMO. They are rare to find used cause most people hold on to them cause there good.
