they have DGF bezels and my car is black... plus i have sequential modules hard-wired into my bulbs, so it would look a little odd having sequentials on horizontals. its pretty lame though that the horizontals use a different size socket for one of the bulbs, otherwise id consider having the bezels painted black and swapping em in and out when i get bored.

plus, i do a lot of tinting for local business, and these happened to be a set im doing. i actually got these out of a junkyard. they cleaned up pretty well. most of the other sets i have done are new edge tails, so i couldnt really do a test fit on any of them until these... for obvious reasons.

Dang, how much you want for them? I would paint them black and stick them on mine, that tint looks nice!

just out of curiosity jon, why did you leave the reverse lenses untinted? was it a visual thing, or did you leave it that way for functionality? granted my reverse lights basically dont work at all anymore with the lenses tinted, but they hardly did anything to begin with, so its not like tinting the reverse lenses were really hurting anything. if its an inspection thing, if you cant get by with them fully tinted, then you more than likely wont get by like that either.

I did it for a visual thing...my reverse lights don't even work right now haha...gotta get the sensor figured out.

I think they look a lot cooler with the reverse light taped off...gives the tails more dimension, as opposed to a totally black light.

cant say i dont agree... for me its kinda "6 in one, half dozen in the other", they look good either way. its funny though when people make it clear that they dont want the reverse lenses tinted because it would kill most of the light from those bulbs... but its not like the give off much of any light to begin with. i would think as long as people behind you can tell theyre on, its prob alright.

Yea they don't really do anything for functionality tinted or not...

I'm thinking about getting LED brakelights and reverse lights, they should be better than stock.

I think its been discussed before...when everyone was talking about the LED guage mod...I'm not sure?

I think the LEDs in the tails would cause "hot spots" in the lights tho...know what I mean?

it depends how hot theyd get compared to the stock bulbs... the stock bulbs are only incandescents so they do get fairly hot themselves.

although thinking about it, unless you've seen them before, i dont know that anyone makes tail light bulbs in LED since it takes two circuits for them, unless they come with multiple bulbs on the same socket, some for the brakes and some for the turn signals.

theres a ton of different tail lights for our cars on eBay, one of them being these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-1995-1996-1997-1998-FORD-MUSTANG-LED-TAIL-LIGHTS-B_W0QQitemZ250454409306QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item3a503f005a&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1171

theyre LED with clear lenses. they dont look great like that, but i bet if the lenses get a nice dark tint, you wouldnt even notice all the busyness of the LED modules.

I would agree, with a nice dark tint I think those could have potential.
