They have a little nipple in the middle, I just drilled them out so I could use the star driver.

it is called a tamper proof torx, it makes it harder to steel. napa sells bits to fit it.

calling a torx bit a star bit throws everything off, a flathead is a flat or minus driver, and a phillips is a star driver, so calling it a star-bit is just all wrong to those that do not know...........

Harbor freight has a whole set of the security bits, it has torx and regular allens as well

My MAF has the same type holding them in

It's not that big of a deal. Go to google shopping and type in "star driver". There's no Phillips screwdrivers on the first three pages.
