Ok everyone, Ive been thinking about getting a v6 s197 for a DD. are they good on gas? are they dependable cars? will they last a long time? what do you hate/love about them!

I would wait for the 3.7v6 2011-newer models to go down in price
Why a mustang for a DD, I like newer Hondas, they look good and have nicer interiors

well the one im looking at is a 2005 and its 8,000 and thats pushing it for me. With the way my money is right now I cant have a car thats too expensive. But i dont know im very picky with cars and stuff. I did want a svt focus but one in my range has wayyyyyy too many miles, I like the newer hondas but once again out of my price range. I also like the new focus but there 17,000 with 32k on them. Plus ive always wanted a s197

V6's are for the lame.

SVT Focus' with decent miles run around $5k around here.

i mean yeah its a v6, but i know this sounds silly but if i get a v6 then it will not give me motivation to mod it. I know for a fact that if i get a GT i will be doing every MOD to it and ill never want to drive it.

or you could buy my SRT4 for $8k...........................

ehhhh im leery about neons but definitively wouldnt mind one at all, nice cars!

You'll want to mod the V6 because it will be slower, the MPG benefit will not be much, and for $8k, I'm guessing it's either a low option car or high miles. If you're set on a V6 car, why not just get like a 03-04 V6? Probably be half the price and less to learn as the car will be pretty much the same as the 95 and Cobra

actually the car is very nice IMO i was surprised when i saw it. and it has 117k, most ive seen for that price have like 150k. I wouldnt mind a new edge v6 but i have the cobra and i want a different body style thats all

IMO you have to be a big person to drive an S197. I'm 6'3" and I fit just about right. If my girlfriend drives it she can barely see over the steering wheel but is fine in an sn95. The other complaint is the headrests that make you gangsta lean because they will otherwise push your head forward to the point your looking at your feet.
and everything is more expensive for them than an sn95.

Ive driven a s197 before and had no problems seeing over the steering wheel, she must be small!!! what is more expensive?
