There is already a thread for this in the Dyno Results forum.

What are your track times anyway?

How the heck do you make about 60+ rwhp more than every other guy with TFS heads and a F-cam? That's just crazy.

By decking the block and bumped compression and the cnc port work on the heads makes a big diff, and im sure on a mustang dyno my car would dyno about 20-30hp less.so ive heard they dyno alot less on diff dynos.

afr and trickflows love to be ported :)

Compression only nets ~4% power per point, and you only have a half-point bump from stock, so that's not it. CNC'd heads certainly make a difference, but I don't see it increasing power output by 20%+ at the wheels while still using a tiny cam that can't really utilize those heads.

The only 360 rwhp 306 I've ever seen had ported TFS heads, 11.2:1 CR, a BIG Ed Curtis cam, Hooker Supercomps, no accessories, and turned 7000 rpm.

Those numbers just seem out of whack to me. I can't help it, I'm skeptical of everything.

Paul.

Dyno's never make sense to me either, perfect example on my stock 302 i did the trickflow top end kit h/c/I and it only made 273rwhp and my friend did the same setup but on another dyno and he made 298rwhp untuned and over 300rwhp tuned I just cant see how 2 dynos with same mods can be like 20-30rwhp diff it makes no sense.

or when I had bolt ons with a cam I was making 10-20less rwhp and about 20-50rwtq less then every body else with same setup, I dont see how dynos can very so much

I was talking to Ed a while back about the most power he has seen out of a 302/306 combo.

He said he built a high compression 306 with ported AFR 185 heads and a ported Holley SM2. He said he made 370...I am wondering if your talking about the same engine..

Nope, this one was a high compression 306 with ported TFS heads. It was in my friend Mike Byrd's convertible fox and ran 11s in the mid hundred-teens. Ed's cam was nasty. Had a 109 LSA on an EFI car. LOL

Here ya go:
