Javi that x pipe looks like it fits a hell of a lot better than my H pipe does, my H has to be like crooked in order to clear the pass side floor.

Should have gotten a Prochamber :tongue3:

Whats the difference in a Pro Chamber between an H and X?

The difference is the Prochamber is more money and gives you less ground clearance lol. It does have kind of a cool sound though, kinda like a cross between and X and an H. I had one on my shorties and opted not to get one for the longtubes.

looks like an x pipe in a box.

of course it will gain power over stock, all midpipes will going from six? cats to none. (talking about their dyno data)

2 cats on a 302, not 6.

2 pre-cats & 2 catalytic converters

my bad, so regular cats to high flow cats.

not doubting you, just their data is flawed.

The whole idea of pre-cats is they are designed to heat up the converters quicker. The stock factory converters are not even close to hi-flow aftermarket converters.

you misunderstood me, i ment first test they did was with stock cats on the stock mid pipe, but the second is with high flow cats on their mid pipe. what im trying to say is most of the gains were due to having high flow cats on their mid pipe vs the restrictive ones on the stock mid pipe.

No, one is stock with cats, second is stock without cats and with a ProChamber. I run a prochamber on my car in my sig for a reason. It's not for sound. I also run 9's with shortie headers, and guess what, I run motorsport shorties or mac shorties. Both work well.
Now, when talking BBK and MAC, the BBK X or H will NOT work on the MAC headers and vice versa. Unless something has drastically changed that I don't know about. which isn't likely. Other manufacturers pipes might work, but not sure. I always go with what is proven rather than taking chances. But as Javi's car shows, if you have a good exhaust pipe bender guy, you can get just about anything to work. If not, stick with the same/same manufacturer for headers/xpipe

Oh, and 5.0 mustangs or MM&FF did an article years ago, where they took a stock fox with stock exhaust and put different cat backs on it, and then different off road and high flow mid pipes of the X, H and PC variety. Hate to spoil it, but the ProChamber made the most power and the MAC cat back was tied just about with another company's cat back. It was an independant test, with all manufacturers at the time, BBK, MAC, bassani, Borla, etc, contributing parts to be tested. It was informative and well worth finding if you can.

Lol, no! But it wouldn't make as much power. I meant that it runs 9's with shorty headers, not quite as dramatic when you have to explain it.

I have used it on all my mustangs.

On this 95, I started out with a Pypes X-pipe just to change it up, hated it and went back to a prochamber. :icon_rr:

Think I might go with the ceramac Longtubes (TF9415) and the stainless Pro Chamber (PC4045).
