My son is not old enough to do much yet. But he tries to do everything I do and gets pretty aggressive about it. He would NOT give me the pressure gauge back for at least 20 minutes and insisted that it be inserted into each and every lug nut hole .

Oh yeah been there a few times lol.. But I figure it this way, even if they aren't into cars at least he got some knowledge, and I'll let him/her know that no matter how hard times can get, someone always needs a car fixed, andim going to leave them every tool and tidbit of knowledge I can to help them survive no matter what.. I'm not catching the fish for them, I'm teaching them to fish do they can survive after I'm gone..

True story! My little girl is the best thing that has happened to me!

US SOLDIER, I can't even get mine to help me clean anymore! She's seen me clean my car so many times, that when I go out now to clean....she will grab one of my towels and start wiping her power wheels down!!

LOL no kids as of yet, but my wife has learned to help.

When I am fortunate enough to have kids, they will learn to help, and they will learn to work on them before they get their liscence. I have my own driving test, it is a little more indepth, and before they are allowed to drive they will be able to perform general maintance (wiper blades, tire pressure, oil changes, rotate their own tires, service all fluids, etc.) both male AND female.

Mine are both teenagers now, daughter doesnt even wash her own car and son is at that age where he would love to help but has no idea what he is doing so you need to be there making sure he doesn't get carried away before he takes something apart and has no idea what it even is
