I ordered a Reische 170 thermostat and a B&M 70297 tranny cooler. I am taking off my huge trucool tranny cooler out from in front of my intercooler, and installing this B&M w/ fan in my d/s fender well area. My car is running a little hot on warmer days and I need to get these temps down, so this should get a ton more air into intercooler and like I said swapping my 180 thermo for a 170. My car is tuned for the time being, is it okay to swap thermos without adjusting the fan settings?

thermostat shouldn't matter with your fan settings. it will just keep it lower and the fan will still come on when it needs to. i personally would put a manual fan switch in there so you can control it

reason I asked is because I got instructions with this thermo that is very detailed about setting specific fan settings, I didnt think it would matter as well because the tune that its on now, the fans will still kick in.
