Alright guys, I've spent the last 30-45 minutes reading up on the 315's. It seems some have trouble fitting them, some don't. I don't plan to upgrade LCA's, and from what I gather I need to keep the quad shocks. I'm thinking about the 17x9's all around. How would a 285/40/17 do out back for daily driving? Too wide for the 9 inch wheel? I can drop down to a 275/40, but would like as wide as I can get. Thank you.

I've read mixed view on the quads. General opinion is that they should stay until you upgrade LCAs. I'm really looking at Nitto 555's, and they go from 285 to 315. I'm still thinking about the 10.5's out back, just really don't wanna get into fitment issues.

I dont see how they work much there so flimsy and crappy, and I have never experienced any sort of wheelhop driving on the street. but yeah I guess better safe then sorry.

and this thread is making me want a cobra, want to trade for my GT :eek:ccasion14:

LOL, I almost sold a few weeks ago, this thing is just becoming a money pit, but man it sure is a fun one! I'm gonna hold off on deciding width I think, I need to see how the Nittos like this colder weather before I can even consider going 315's. As of now it will be 17x9's out back with probably 275/40/17's. Although a little narrower than the 285's, that should help my day to day driving. Thanks for all of your input, it is greatly appreciated.

Not a big fan of the FR500's. Those are 18's, I actually almost bought them from that guy (I think he quoted me $750 for like new wheels/tires), but if I got 18 it WILL be Saleens. Thanks guys!

Alright guys, I kinda second guessing myself. I just found a complete set of stock rims with 245/45/17 BFG KDWS at $650 shipped. Plan was to get the 03 Cobras with Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season tires. From the reviews I've read, they are really good on most conditions. They are overall rated better than the KDWS. Here are the reviews (I've read several different ones, this seems to sum it up).

I currently have Nitto 555's on my Cobra. If I picked up the second set of stock rims, I'd use those during the winter months, and replace the two rear tires on my current rims with Nitto 555r drag radials for the summer. Do you guys think I'd be better off with the two sets, or should I stick with the current plan of 17x9 03 Cobras with 255/40/17 GY tires? Up front, the two sets would cost a little less, and probably perform better. However, since the GY's are rated better than the BFGs, I'm thinking I'll be best off just to stick with the plan, 03 Cobras. Thoughts, opinions? Thanks.

I think it's gonna be the chrome 03's. I'm considering the deep dish ones though, only problem is that I'm not sure it would like right with 17x9's all around. I finally found some pics of a car with them on it, looks sick. Let me know which you guys prefer.

LOL, I wish I could be a little lower, but as a dd I already drag quite a bit. I've actually considered raising it back up, just can't get use to the 4x4 look though.
