Well, my headlights lenses are getting pretty dull, not to mention that one of them is slightly cracked inside from the accident last year, so I figure, time to change them. I've been looking at Cobra reproduction headlights, and most of the ones on ebay go for 50 dollars shipped, kinda wanted to get those. Can anyone recommend one perticular brand that would be fairly good on quality and stuff? The current headlights are made by eagle eye or something like that, lasted about 3 years till they faded.

I like Blue Oval Industries. I do want to warn you if you get eBay lights you are going to HAVE to seal them in an oven.

I swear they are all made in the same factory. Mine from Arts I did not reseal or put in the oven or anything and they have been on my car for 4 years now. No problems, although my car is parked in the garage 80% of its life.

I'm with you on needing new headlights. Personally I don't trust ebay products and I'm going to order mine from summit. Pricier yes, but you get what you pay for (or so I've learned). I have clear cobra headlights and they are yellowish looking, peeling on the inside, and have lots of condensation. I think I'm going to go with the same stock cobra headlights but replace my corners for clears.

Clear corners would look great on you white SN!

that if you don't seal them condensation will build up in rain/washing the car.

put the lights in the oven, heat em up for like 20 minutes, scrape the exposed sealant off, and then put a nice thick bead of clear rtv down.

I don't really like the clear corners. If I'd have a BMW, then sure, I'd get them, that's how they come in europe. Mustang, I wanna keep as stock looking as possible.

I have the stock pair of OEM headlights from my 97 if you might be interested. If I remember right, the corners are great, the headlights may need a little shining up. I dont know what to ask for them, but if you're interested I can get them out and take some pictures.

big fan of OEM cobras. I have had good luck with DEPO lights. I would always reseal any aftermarket headlight though. But a tight bead of clear silicone all the way around. I didn't bake mine and they didn't fog up with three days of straight heavy rain.

Just an idea.

To each their own, but to me a crystal white cobra with "all white" looking headlights looks flippin beast! Oh well just a suggestion.

I think if you want a "quality" headlight then get something OEM, otherwise I'd guess it's a crapshoot with aftermarket. i got mine off eBay for a lot cheaper than the normal sites, sealed them with silicone and they still look new. Car isn't a daily driver either though.

The stangmods link has a good price. I've bought headlights from ebay for both of my Grand Cherokees. The '99 takes the BIG one-pice types and my '95 has a "normal-sized" rectangular headlight. I didn't put them in the oven but added a bead of clear silicone around the mating surfaces before installing and haven't had a leak or any condensation. They are both daily drivers.

Looks like a fairly solid vote for Depo headlights. One of my friends had them on his E36 M3, when he did the whole halo / xenon conversion, and they were pretty decent on his car. That's most likely the route I'm going I guess.

Might be in a little while. Right now I've got a whole grocery list of things I have to do prior to the track weekend, headlights are very low on the priority list at the moment.
