As everyone probably knows, I am in the process of putting a 02 gt engine in my 98 GT. When I took off the timing cover on the 02 engine and inspected the chains, I noticed one of the chains has a little slack in it. It not loose where I can take the chain off completely but has a small amount of slack in it. Is this something I need to worry about? :wall:

If you move the other chain, its stiff as a rock. If you move the loose chain, I wanna say it has 1 to 3 inches of play. I'm not sure of the name but I can describe it the best I can. When your looking at everything with the cover off, there are the chain. Then on the top and bottom, there what it looks like to be plastic guides. The lose chain could probably almost touch them. It's only one part of the chain that moves. I hope I explained it so its understandable. I hope I don't need to fix anything. Engine only has 19K. :(

which chain the passenger or drivers? Any way to take pictures?

It's the passanger side chain. It's gonna be the bottom part of the chain. Like, afer looping around the cam pully it's that part of the chain going down. I can get pics but not till later in the week. The car is at my father in laws condo and its about an hour away from me. But i'll post pics.

sounds like something I would replace. Both of my chains with 125 on them had no slack when I did my head swap.
