Hi I am coming close to the end of the pi head swap and have got a question. Can you use the 04 romeo timing cover or do I need to buy a 98 timing cover?I no longer have my 98 it cracked when I was removing cause of the stupid power steering bolt.I went to 50resto and they sell a timing cover listed as 96-04 timing cover curious if its the same timing cover for all romeo blox.any experience out there that can help out?

I have a timing cover off my 97 gt, on a cobra block w/P.I. heads and it fits fine... You should be fine in your case though.

96-04 romeo use a different sized bolt than the 96-04 windsors... just buy the new bolts and you should be fine.

i didnt tear up my original, so i reused after i cleaned it, but it will work.

if you get one from a 99-04 it wont have mounts for your coil packs, and if you get one from a windsor you will have different size holes where it bolts into the heads.

and yes ours had 3 bolt tensioners, later models had 1 bolt tensioners, and some have 3.

long story short, it will work, but might take little more time and new hardware.
