Should I tint the windows of my car?

Just getting some ideas. Likely won't happen for awhile, have more important projects to do first if you've seen my to-do list.
I don't really mind not having tint on my windows, but it does sort of look empty.

Keep in mind that the tint needs to be street legal, don't need a reason for the cops to give me a ticket.

I don't think a really dark tint would look very good since the exterior of my car is bright and nothing is dark.

What if I did a lighter tint, do you think the windows would look better than with no tint?

Do you guys have any opinions?

Also included some picture below to show how it currently looks. Also if you guys want to try some picture editing.

Thanks! -Richard

dark tint on light cars looks fine, one of the best looks on a white car is blacked out windows. do you know what the legal percent is there?

In all honesty, no one likes a fishbowl.

And look at your signature. Dark tint wouldn't look so bad.

35% is the perfect compromise imo. I got 35% all around, my cars all black and I'm in NYC never been hassled yet, this will probably jinx me. What causes tint to turn purple is because the actual tint film itself is cheap and crappy. One thing I'd recommend is not having the rear windshield tinted all the way. I'd have it stop right before the dot matrix them have black vinyl installed over the dot matrix, thats what I'm getting done eventually.

My only concern is that with black on orange it starts to look like Halloween...

And i believe law here is that you can have whatever tint you want on the back windows. The front side and windshield is suppose to be clear, can easily get away with a light tint on the side windows though

If you can have whatever you want on the back windows I think 20% would look good. Dark but not too dark imo

i'd go with like a 20% on the back and 35% on the front windows. could probably get like 50% or so on the windshield. shouldn't get hassled too much for that.

Kyle, that's 20% in the front? I think i'm gonna redo mine this summer and go with that. My windows aren't dark enough for me.
