*Tint Thread*

so my car is still a fishbowl and this spring or summer im gonna finally do something about it.......been wanting to for years but money always seems to go to parts and tint gets thrown on the back burner......i gotta good idea but im still trying to figure out what % im gonna go with and whether or not im gonna do a brow on the windshield......so lets see em......please include % with pics

35% (legal) on the sides.

20% on the back (legal)

5% across the windshield.

Wish I could post a few pix but my photobucket decided it's not gonna work.. When it starts workin again I'll post a few but I've got 20% all the way around. No brow, but was considering one. Have 35% on the front 2 on my ZJ and 2.5% every other window and 2.5% brow. I love the brow in the ZJ and definitely might do one on the Mustang

You're right. I always back into my garage, so I don't have to back out the driveway. Middle of the day, still have to roll the windows down. But I love it.

Mine was also on the car when purchased but I'm pretty sure its 35%. I can still see a good amount at night when driving.

well i guess its between 20% and 35%.....my car being a brighter color the tint is gonna look darker and i get enough attention from cops so idk......killin i just checked your facebook and saw your tint but if you wanna post it go for it......theres no way in hell im going with 5% like sweet lol thats crazy..looks good tho

35% all around, wasn't allowed to get a tint strip for the front windsheild Wish it was a little darker in the day, but its not dark enough to get pulled over so I'd rather not have a problem with 5 o.

I needa have the guy re tint the back windshield, dot matrix is all streaked and theres a lot of bubbles and scratches =\

When its not in direct sunlight or at night its nice and dark, next time I get tint its gonna be 35% 2 front sides and 20% in the back. Anyone else have this problem? Its bugging the crap outta me.

Yeah the dot matrix is one thing that bothers me about tint. I have only seen a few cars where they got the dot matrix right. I am thinking about getting a strip of black vinyl and covering the top part of the rear window

30% front is legal here and any darkness on the 1/4 windows and rear window. Here are a few pics of my car. I went 30% windsheild strip, front doors and 15% on 1/4 windows and rear class...

@sleepn- Is it still like that? I can't stand the way it looks.
@330cube- Your so lucky to have 30% tint legally and as dark as you want on the back. Here in New Yawk the legal limit is a whopping 70%

i agree 100%, wish i never tinted mine. imo looks cleaner w/o it. prolly gonna have it removed this spring??? but here is 30%:
