I m looking for a staggered set of tires,, sizes 295 / 35 / 18 for the rear and 255 / 40 / 18 for front. can anyone give me any good recommendations and reviews for tires they have had in the past and or current ? currently I am looking at nitto nt555.. thanks again for any and all input....

I have nitto nt555s on my car right now and I highly recommend them. They're very nice.

NT555, NT555R NT05. Kuhmo XS, KDW2, M PS2

all depends on what your going to be doing with your car. You want drs? cornering ability? Just an all around DD stickier tire.

i like the kdws better than the nittos, jmho they seemed stickier. overall, you can't go wrong with either one really.

OOOOOOOOO ok.. haha, that changes it a bit. Im guesing you want a nice quiet ride? the Nitto INVO does a good job of that, not as much grip as the NT555 or KDW2, but rides nice, grips fairly well, and is nice and quiet. plus you can swap them side to side, as they are not directional.

The BFG Sport does well too, but IDK if it fits on the wide wheels. Mickey THompson just came out with a new Z rated tire too, its supposed to be badass.

I run those same sizes in the INVOs. They are nice for the street. They aren't for launching but handle well in wet/dry weather. And, they have a good wear rating like 300 or 280 or something.

with the invo tires you can just rotate the passenger side wheel and tire combo to the driver side for the front and rears ?

I had 555s in the past and they seemed to dry rot very quickly so I probably wouldn't go with them again. on the other hand BFG kdw can be pretty noisy.

Yea mickey Thompsons Street Comp tire is supposed to be pretty good and I will be testing it out if I can get it in the sizes I want on my next set of rims/tires

Invo is decent. Would stray from more of the DR type tires then. Again expensive but the MPS2 is a great damn tire.

Hated my BFG tires, they dry rotted much too quickly for a garage kept vehicle and were very noisy. I switch to Pirelli P-Zero Rossos and never looked back. I've had them on my car for quite some time now (4 years I think) and no sign of dry rot or damage. Aside from the fact that it's been sitting for the last two years, I would store the bfgs for the winter and they still dry rotted. Spend the extra coin for good tires IMO.

Edit: I had BFG KDW2's front (265/35/18) and matching drag radials out back (315/30/18)

Edit edit: My KDW2's didn't dry rot but the ones on my friends car did. His was daily driven which may of contributed more, we had bought the same tires at the same time.

Steve Im assuming your drag radials dry rotted not the kdw2s as ive had them on the car since 07 and they still look like day 1.

I ran nitto 555 on my gt several years ago. I was dissatisfied with them overall. They wore very very quickly, and they were loud. And I'm not afraid of tire noise either lol. I wouldn't run them again, I think there are better options at the price point. Here is a review I thought might be helpful; its specifically related to summer tires so it should be helpful I hope.

I ran 555rs and they were a sweeet street DR....my bro had 315 555s though and hated them

they wore like shit and I swear the things started like coming apart from the inside out and wouldnt balance correctly towards the end of their life ec

Theres lots of good street tires...but all depends on the performance/price range.

I love the kumho ecsta XSs....good price, near DR stickiness

I'll agree with Justin, I did really like my 555R tires, if they had made better sizes in 18" I would have got them again.
