A question since day one of detailing is what tire shine is the best, well i think it is a personal preference. Some people like a really dark matte shine, some like glossy.

the subjects

Meguiars Hot Shine
Black Magic Tire Wet

As you can see, the Hot Shine is more of a matte shine and not so glossy

The Black Magic on the other hand is a lot more glossy.

I use Black Magic. Its definitely glossy like you show but it also slings quite a bit if not applied properly. Pretty good OTC product.

I have the Meguires and I think its wank. Cost me £10 here. Thats about $15. I`d be as well using cooking oil. They should have called it `Hot Shite` tyre spray. Its goes brown and shit sticks to it. Much prefer Autoglym instant tyre dressing.

My shitty bagpipe blowing opinion of course.

I've used both of those, and they're ok.
they seem to attract grime and don't last that long.
I like Opti jel, and CG C6 hypercoat.

nice and black, gloss but not too glossy and good duration.

I use Black Magic, nothing like super glossy tires driving down the road and people thinking you just got a car wash when probably you just shined up your tires lol

Well the first thing I did when I got my new tires was to spray them with that touchless armor all stuff and the I touch it up every week or so.

armor all is a flash in the pan..
Opti Gel and CG lasts about a month, more if your car sits in the garage most of it's life.

I like the Hot Shine results on the truck tires there. Both look good. I personally use the Hot Shine Foam spray can. Use it alot. For a clean duller look, I use the Turtle Wax Premium Grade Trim Restorer and a rag.
Thanks for showing us those two products. Great job!

Mines an outdoor car so basically it gets touched up with something every week. I shine all my trim weekly almost. Until its winter then I don't do anything because it's too cold.
